FRIENDS and family of Mike Perry, who died on December 1 last year, are staging a memorial football match on Monday.
A team made up of Mike’s close friends and family will play a Staplegrove FC side at Taunton Town’s Viridor Stadium, Wordsworth Drive, a year to the day after he died.
All are invited to the game, which is being staged at the ground thanks to Peacocks’ chairman Kevin Sturmey.
The gates open at 6.15pm for a 7pm kick-off – after a minute’s applause.
Admission costs £2 for adults and £1 for children. Hot food and drink will be on sale with a late bar.
A spokesman for the organisers said: “It is hoped as many people as possible will support the event.”
