THE Minehead Museum raised £175 for museum funds when it hosted a concert featuring The Acorn Shanty Crew.
The Crew sang two sets to include working sea shanties, mostly collected by Cecil Sharp from Jon Short of Watchet, and some items from Captain Lewis and Captain Vickery of Minehead, all in the early 1900s.
The money raised will help with the preparation of new displays for the 2015 season.
Visitors should note that this weekend (November 29- 30) is the last chance to visit the existing exhibition before the museum closes for its winter refit.
