THE family of a motorcyclist who died in a collision at Cutcombe Hill, in Timberscombe, have paid tribute to him.
Adrian Roy Barber died at the scene of the collision on the A396 last Wednesday (November 19).
Mr Barber, 64, of Bridgwater, was riding on a downhill section of the road, approaching a sharp left-hand bend, when his bike is believed to have mounted a grass bank.
Mr Barber was travelling with four others when he fell off the bike and was in collision with a second rider travelling in the same direction.
He died at the scene shortly afterwards.
The incident happened at around 2.45pm.
A joint family statement read: “Adrian was a devoted family man; he adored his three children, two grandchildren, sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews.
“He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was always an active man and had many hobbies and interests throughout his life, from rugby, carnival, karate, squash, swimming, running and cycling.
“His most recent hobby was his new Matchless motorcycle which was his pride and joy.
"It was the same make and model his father had owned in the 1960s and had brought back many happy memories for him.”
Officers are still keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the collision and is able to help their investigation.
