POLICE searching for an 80-year-old woman who has been missing since Friday say there was a sighting of her in Nynehead yesterday.
Concern has been growing for the wellbeing of Ann Grisman, who went missing without her medication after going on a shopping trip in Taunton.
She had been visiting relatives in the Wellington area but they have not seen her since Friday morning.
Police say that on Friday afternoon, after finishing her shopping in Taunton, she got a taxi back to Wellington with three other people and exited at Waitrose car park.
Police earlier reported that she may have become confused and got back in the taxi, but further enquires have ruled this out.
A police spokesman said: “There was a sighting of Ann in Nynehead, just outside Wellington, yesterday, where our search is now concentrating.
“We are concerned because she does not have her medication with her.
“We would like anyone who lives in Nynehead or the surrounding area to check garden outbuildings, sheds or garages.”
Police have also released a CCTV picture of Ann taken on the day she went missing.
She is 5ft 4ins and wears glasses. When she went missing she was wearing a red coat and red handbag.
Anybody with information is asked to call police at Taunton on 101, quoting reference MP/2858/14.
