A FUNDRASING event in Taunton to help build a sensory room for children, raised £1000.

Miranda Petty has been holding events through her organisation Kelsey's Cancer Fund, the hope of raising £17,000 for Musgrove Park Hospital.

Miranda's daughter Kelsey was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and is now in remission.

But little Kelsey has ongoing bowel problems and has just undergone surgery.

The event at the Master Thatchers had a Frozen themed Santa's grotto and there were stalls and entertainment.

Miranda said: “In 2015, the organisation will be looking at home visits to terminally ill children to put smiles on their faces and support families in need.

“We also have a few big events booked.”
