- Full Assessment and Multi-Disciplinary Team recommendation made.
- If you disagree with recommendation – then you have six months to appeal to the CCG.
- CCG should acknowledge your appeal within five working days.
- CCG have three months to carry out a local review of the assessment and recommendation unless there are reasons for extending that timescale.
- You should be notified of the CCG decision within three months of your request.
- If you still disagree with the decision you may ask NHS England for a review within six months.
- An independent review panel should be convened within three months of the request.
- NHS England may decide an IRP is not necessary but you should be informed of this decision and of the NHS Complaints Procedure.
- The IRP should notify you of their decision within six weeks.
- If you still disagree with the decision reached, you have 12 months to appeal to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman
