THE woman who died following a tragic crash on the A358 at Bishops Lydeard has been named.
Police have formally identified her as Sally Eveleigh, aged 70.
The fatal collision happened yesterday morning (April 27) shortly before 7am.
The road was closed for several hours following the incident.
A spokesperson for the police said: "A Vauxhall Vivaro was travelling along the A358 towards Taunton when it was in a collision with a Toyota Aygo at the junction with Bishops Lydeard.
"The driver of the Toyota was seriously injured and sadly died at the scene shortly afterwards.
"She has now been formally identified as Sally Eveleigh aged 70.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision.
"If you have any information, please contact collision investigators on 101, quoting reference CI-78-16-1053."
