THE antics in this year's Big Brother will be lit up by a West Somerset lighting business.
Minehead-based firm The Lighting Company have supplied a range of striking geometric pendant lights for the main living and dining room in the UK's most watched house.
Shown on Channel 5 and hosted by Emma Willis, between two and three million people tune in to view the housemates' shenanigans.
“We are no strangers to supplying television and film companies,” said The Lighting Company director Lynne Hickin-Browne, “as we have supplied many Hollywood movies filming in the UK from famous wizards to famous spies and even famous puppets.
"On the small screen we have supplied period dramas with custom made products from our Bespoke Lights division and a number of daytime TV shows. This one is really exciting though as our products will be seen in almost every scene being in the main living area of the house.”
The new series of Big Brother got underway on Tuesday, and the newly revamped house has a contrasting black and white theme.
Founded in 1988, the family-run business based on The Vennlands Centre now employs 10 people, supplying high quality lighting to homes and businesses across the UK.
