Car completely destroyed in early-morning arson attack
A CAR was completely destroyed in an early morning arson attack in a south Somerset village.
Firefighters called to the incident in Princes Close in Stoke-sub-Hamdon at 4.05am today.
The service received numerous calls that a car was alight, and two appliances from Martock and Yeovil were mobilised to the incident.
Firefighters got to work using one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
The car was completely destroyed in the incident, and the fire also caused slight damage to another car nearby.
Initial investigations suggest that the cause of the fire was deliberate.
