Given the opportunity, I am sure most of us would choose to remain in our own home for as long as possible.

The benefits include staying close to our social and personal support network as well as retaining a greater degree of independence, so it will greatly depend upon being able to access the right level of care and support for your needs.

Across Somerset, there are an army of care professionals who often work shifts, (early starts and late finishes) who are dedicated to supporting people, within their own home.  This role is most definitely not for all.

It takes a big heart, lots of courage and buckets of commitment – but as many who do it, will tell you, it is one of the most rewarding.

Bluebird Care (Taunton, West Somerset, Sedgemoor and Mid-Devon) has recently been the first Home Care provider in Somerset to be rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The following is an excerpt from the CQC report: ‘People who received care and support from Bluebird Care said they were very happy with the service provided.
