Operations manager and registered manager at Bluebird Care - Anna Ulrico
Operations manager Anna left school with the dream of working in a teaching or training environment however a career break to focus on raising her four children brought her to the world of care.
Anna worked part time as a care worker in the evenings whilst raising her four children and was soon promoted to senior carer and then trained to become the care provider’s manual handling trainer.
Anna then moved to the care office taking on a maternity period as a care coordinator.
Anna rang Bluebird Care speculatively and on speaking to the manager at the time came away so impressed by the level of commitment to person centred care she applied immediately for any future roles.
Anna’s phone call and letter resulted in her becoming care manager at Bluebird Care in 2014 and she was soon promoted to operations manager as the franchise grew under her leadership combined with the support of the management team she nurtured.
Anna is well qualified holding a Level 5 in Health and Social Care, she believes strongly in her own continuous personal development, regularly attending training delivered by Care Focus, The Alzheimer’s Society and local Colleges.
Working her way from the ground up has ensured that Anna has a complete in-depth understanding of how care should be delivered and this means that her customers truly receive ‘person centred care’.
Since Anna joined Bluebird Care she has successfully expanded the franchise portfolio, customer profile and alongside that the care worker profile and under her leadership Bluebird Care are the first care provider in Somerset to achieve the CQC rating of ‘Outstanding’.
Anna is committed to delivering care in the right way and her management team are as tenacious as she is in ensuring the customers receive quality personalised care every single day of the week.
Anna won the 2016 Care Focus ‘Outstanding Commitment to Care’ Award which was extremely well deserved.
