Becky Davies – Candlelight Care
Following a suggestion from her Grandmother it wasn’t until she was in her mid-twenties and living in Berkshire that Becky decided to join the care industry.
Initially employed as a care worker Becky was keen to develop her career and was promoted first to a supervisory role and then manager of a residential home.
Moving to Somerset once her home was sold, Becky contacted Candlelight Care and joined them as a Care and Support Worker in September 2003.
Realising her potential Candlelight Care encouraged Becky to undertake qualifications and she completed her NVQ Level 2 the following year.
Over the next few years she was promoted to Initial Response Worker and completed her NVQ Levels 3 and 4, before moving to the company’s Training Department as a Deputy Training Manager in 2006.
Becky is now Candlelight Care’s training manager and is responsible for a team of staff.
She develops new courses and delivers training that is both innovative and inspirational.
Becky is passionate about her role and encourages staff to recognise their skills and ability to deliver the quality of care that our valued clients deserve.
In addition to her busy role Becky has recently found time to continue with her own professional development, recently completing her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.
