ENTRIES are still flying in for the first Taunton Bubble Rush.
The event sees runners take on a run of around 5k while being covered in bubbles at various points around the 5km course.
It is being held at Longrun Meadow on October 2 and is fundraising for the County Gazette’s 180 Appeal, which is backing St Margaret’s Hospice.
A Bubble Rush spokesman said: “On each Bubble Station there will be one of our high powered foam cannons blowing out 30 cubic metres a minute of frothy milkshake bubbles.
“Our trained team Bubble Commandos man each foam cannon to make sure you get covered in coloured frothy foam.
“Don’t worry if you are not a runner because the course is always less than 5k and it is not timed. Bubblers do it for fun with friends and children.”
Participants will receive a free Bubble Rush white T-shirt to wear as you run, hop, dance, crawl, dance, walk or push a pushchair around the course.
County Gazette editor, Paul Jones, said the newspaper was delighted to be involved with the event.
“It promises to be a great day out for all the family - not just those who are taking part - and it is for such a worthy cause,” he said.
“I would urge all County Gazette readers to sign up now - do not let your entry bubble under.”
