THE Campaign for Real Ale will be presenting Dunkery Ales with the Somerset Beer of the Festival award on Saturday at the Bear Inn in Wiveliscombe.
Dunkery Ales Ltd entered one of its very first brews into the competion at the Minehead Beer Festival in September 2006 and immediately won the prize awarded by the general public.
The Bear Inn, which serves the Dunkery Ale 4% will receive the Somerset CAMRA Pub of the Year 2007 certificate.
Jim Winzer, director of Dunkery Ales said: "We are very proud about this award, in particular as it was one of our first brews."
Dunkery Ales is the first microbrewery operating on Exmoor. It has been set up with the support of the Exmoor National Park Sustainable Development Fund, provided by DEFRA, and additional funding from the West Somerset District Council, Business Link, Connecting Somerset and Foodlink.
