TWO new dates have been added for residents to have their say on the proposed merging of two councils.
A series of roadshows were announced to hear the views of concerned residents over the controversial joining of Taunton Deane Borough Council and West Somerset Council.
Representatives will be available from the councils for visitors to talk to.
It is part of a wider consultation launched last month which will help inform the Secretary of State's decision on creating a new council - however the councils were keen to emphasise that this is not a referendum or ballot.
A spokesperson said: "It is great to see so many people taking the time to attend the roadshow events so far.
"Many people in consultation questionnaires and talked to officers and councillors about the new council proposal.
"With the consultation ending on February 28, we would encourage local people to get involved and join those in the area who have already had their say"
The two new dates are:
- Saturday 11 February 2017 – Chambers Restaurant, 6 The Avenue, Minehead TA24 5UQ, 9:00 am to 11:30 am.
- Saturday 11 February 2017 – Taunton Library, Paul Street, Taunton TA1 3XZ, 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.
