HERE is a blast from the past for all you rugby fans.
This picture is especially pertinent in 2017 as the British & Irish Lions will be touring New Zealand in the Summer.
Here is a picture from the County Gazette edition on March 20, 1992, when former Bath, England and British Lion, Jeremy Guscott touched down in Taunton.
The triple Lion who toured in 1989, 1993 and 1997, made a visit to Taunton as part of some publicity for British Gas.
The rugby international was in Fore Street to help unveil the then new gas showroom.
The report in the County Gazette explained how the Bath and England centre let off steam when he tried to play a few notes on a sousaphone to the delight of the deputy mayor, Margaret Dickson and his fans.
The musical instrument was in the line-up of a local jazz band invited to attend the opening of the £200,000 refurbishment.
At the time, Jeremy was a pubic relations officer for British Gas, also signed autographs and chatted with the crowd.
