THE forgotten soldiers who lost their lives in battle 100 years ago are finally going to be remembered.
The names of six men from Bishop's Hull who made the ultimate sacrifice are to be added to the village war memorial after planning permission was granted by Taunton Deane Borough Council.
They had been left off the plaque of First World War dead and there were also a number of errors on he 29 men who had been named.
Bishop's Hull Parish Council was given the go-ahead to fix a new plaque to the listed war memorial opposite the parish church.
The memorial was built and dedicated in November 1921, three years after the end of the conflict.
The original plaque had become eroded and was replaced in 1993, with the omissions and errors spotted at a later date.
