THE Yesterday's Farming Show, due to be held on August 18 and 19 in Somerset, has been cancelled due to the foot-and-mouth outbreak.
A spokesman for the South Somerset Agricultural Preservation Club Committee, which organises the event, at Puckington, near Ilminster, said: "The blanket ban across the UK on the movement of livestock has made it impossible to go ahead with our annual show.
"It is with deep regret we have had to take this action for public safety and animal welfare.
"We will re-establish the Yesterday' Farming show in 2008."
