POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside his home in Taunton in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday, August 9).
Between 2-3am, the victim heard a disturbance involving ten-12 people outside his address on Valley Road.
On opening his front door to investigate, the 28 year-old man was struck in the face with a beer bottle.
As a result of the incident, the victim sustained injuries that required seven stitches.
Unfortunately, he did not see the person/s who threw the bottle.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident taking place or who can help identify those involved.
