A SCHOOL reunion party has raised more than £600 for a local charity.
Jon Kelly, a former pupil of Bishop Fox's School in Taunton and Gazette columnist, recently raised £634 for local charity St. Margaret's Somerset Hospice by organising an 80's revival night at Deller's Wharf, Taunton.
Joyce Vernon, of St Margaret's Day Care, said: "We are most grateful to Jon and his friends for raising this fantastic sum to provide complementary therapy treatments for our patients.
"The therapies are given to patients with life-limiting illnesses to help them relax and sometimes just for a bit of fun."
She added: "When young people make such an effort to help, the patients really enjoy the opportunity to thank them personally, so it was particularly nice that Jon came into the Hospice to present us with this cheque".
