PEOPLE in the Taunton and Wellington area can have their say on licensing policy in the district.
Taunton Deane Council is consulting with residents, stakeholders and other authorities including police and the fire a part of its three-yearly licensing policy review.
The draft revised policy covers a range of issues, including licensing hours, live music and late-night refreshment.
It also highlights concerns that have arisen since 2004, including glass-related injuries, noise from music, sales of alcohol and nuisance and disturbance from smokers outside premises.
Environmental services executive councillor Mel Mullins said: "The policy may affect anyone living near a pub, cinema, restaurant, theatre or takeaway.
"This is the public's chance to have a say in shaping their future environment."
The draft revised policy can be seen at www.tauntondeane.gov.uk/licensingact2003 - (revised draft policy).
Alternatively, hard copies are available at £5 by contacting the Licensing Unit, The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton TA1 1HE.
