LOCAL businesses looking for success overseas are getting the chance to talk about their prospects with Government experts from UK Trade & Investment South West.
Research has shown that businesses which export are generally more competitive and productive than those that don't, and preparation is key to succeeding abroad.
A spokesman said: "An essential step for businesses looking to break into a new country is to research the new market thoroughly.
"UKTI can provide in-depth, professional and impartial research into the target market, including key industries, business practice and culture and help businesses to target the right customers for their product."
The programme starts on Wednesday, September 12 at Creech Castle, Taunton, when businesses can get advice from one of UKTI's international trade advisers and an adviser from the Export Marketing Research Scheme.
Further sessions take place at Creech Castle on October 10 and November 14.
Ring Nicola Mason at UKTI South West on 01275 370773 or email nicola.mason@uktisouthwest.org to reserve a place.
