TAUNTON MP Rebecca Pow showed off her national colours last week for Football Shirt Friday.
The initiative, which supports the Bobby Moore Fund for Bowel Cancer Research, sees people donate £2 to wear the football shirt of their choice on the day, which fell on April 27.
And Ms Pow visited a Taunton branch of bookmaker William Hill - which has raised £144,000 through the scheme - to show off her red England top.
"I was delighted to visit William Hill to support their Football Shirt Friday initiative," she said.
"Bowel cancer affects so many across the UK, with roughly 110 new cases every day and early diagnosis is crucial to recovery.
"I am pleased that William Hill are helping to raise money for this important cause and I am delighted to be able to play my part."
While at the store, Ms Pow also placed a £50 charity bet - a win double on Liverpool and Bristol Rovers - with proceeds going to the charity.
However, both drew, so her £50 stake was donated instead.
