THE emergency services have been involved in a dramatic operation to rescue an injured walker.
They were called out to the walker, who was in agony after suffering an open fracture on Kilve beach yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
Members of Watchet Coastguard administered initial medical treatment before a fire first response single crew, police and paramedics arrived on the scene.
The patient was then stretchered onto an air ambulance and taken to hospital for further treatment.
