WITH more than 40 per cent of people over 50 suffering with some sort of hearing loss, Imperial Hearing in Taunton is inviting people to a ‘Hear Here‘.
The event is to raise awareness of the growing problem and to help anyone affected by hearing loss.
It is taking place in the Somerset Pavilion at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, tomorrow (Wednesday) from 10am to 3pm.
People will be able to talk to experts about their hearing concerns and to find out more about the latest hearing technology available.
They will also have the chance to have a video otoscopy to see inside their own ears.
Imperial Hearing audiologist Aaron Layton said: "There is still a stigma around wearing hearing aids and so we find that people commonly put off a hearing test, which means they are often suffering in silence - sometimes for years.
“By holding these Hear Here events we want people to come and see the latest technology in a welcoming and informal environment.
"Hearing aids have come a long way and are so discreet that no-one would even know you suffer from hearing loss anymore.”
There is a chance to receive a free hearing screening at the event, so even if you have been tested before, already use hearing aids or are just concerned that your hearing isn’t as it should be call 01823-336306 or email taunton@imperialhearing.com to book your space.
