It was certainly a busy evening at the Museum of Somerset last week, with more than 200 people attending Taunton Gin Festival.
People sat in the courtyard throughout the night, enjoying the sunny weather, with the cocktail bar serving the most popular cocktail of the night: Singapore Slings.
The welcome G&T was sponsored by E18hteen Gin, locally produced in North Petherton. Their gins and vodkas seemed to be a favourite on the night.
Amongst the distiller stalls, Sidmouth Gin also made the trip from Devon to share their new gins, made using local ingredients, including some from their own garden. They also brought gin cheese, which proved to be very popular.
Music was provided by The Bad Cowboys, who played a few sets at Glastonbury last year.
The raffle that night was in aid of Epilepsy Action and the winner was very pleased with their gin hamper and helped raise over £150.
Our main bar offered a range of local and artisan, award winning gins from fruity (Sidmouth Pink Gooseberry), to classic London Dry (Silver Fox, Luckington), to quirky (Old Bakery, London, illicit gin recipe, dating back 120 years).
Becak bar hope to be back again in the autumn to see the welcoming Taunton crowd.
