THE family of a Somerset man who died in a road collision have paid tribute to a "brilliant, devoted dad".
Clive Peter Rainey, 44, was killed in the crash on Monday of last week (May 7).
Mr Rainey, of Bridgwater, died following the incident on the B3135 Plummer Lane, near Priddy.
In a moving statement, his family said: "Clive and Hayley had just celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary.
"He was Hayley’s best friend, an incredibly loving man with a great sense of humour and a brilliant, devoted dad to sons Joe, 16 and Will, 14.
"He also leaves a twin brother, Paul, and sister-in-law Claire.
“He enjoyed spending time with his family, racing remote-controlled cars and helicopters with his boys, as well taking great pride in his garden.
“His passion was motorbikes. His bikes were immaculate and he loved watching motorsport, either live or on television.
"He loved riding his motorbikes with other family members along favourite routes.
"Clive recently took the whole family to watch MotoGP at Silverstone.
“Clive will also be much missed by his colleagues at TMB Patterns, where he had worked as an engineer since the age of 17.”
Family members ask that their privacy be respected as they come to terms with their loss.
