WELLINGTON School pupils again gained A level results well above the national average.
The results included: *40% of all grades were A; *20 of the 88 candidates gained three, four or five straight As; *66% of the papers were A or B.
*Beatrice Baatsch, from Germany, notched five As; *Hames Cooper, Amanda Huang, Kate Richards, Lloyd Rickard, Matthew Rowe and Canary Yang had four As.
Headmaster Martin Reader, who took up his post at the start of the school year, was delighted.
He said: "While we are particularly pleased that 40% of all grades were at A grade, considerably in excess of the national average of A grades awarded, we are just as proud of those for whom a lower grade is a significant achievement.
"I want to congratulate a group of students which has achieved in so many areas within the school - on the games fields and the stage, in the music rooms and in their houses."
