A MAN has been arrested in connection with an incident outside a Somerset kebab house which left a woman with 'serious facial injuries'.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information, which saw a 37-year-old victim attacked by a man outside Cary Kababs in Fore Street, Castle Cary, having recently left the White Hart pub.
The incident happened at around 1.40am on Sunday, 8 April.
Detective Inspector Martyn Cannon, of Avon and Somerset Police, said: “This appears to have been a vicious unprovoked attack on a vulnerable member of the public.
“I appeal to anyone who may have seen or heard what happened. We will not tolerate violence of this nature.”
A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
