HOLLYWOOD Bowl in Taunton celebrated its £400,000 makeover in style with a VIP relaunch party befitting its name.
The party on Thursday, May 24, which was attended by residents and businesses, was hosted by Hollywood actress ‘Marilyn’ who cut the ribbon to officially relaunch the centre.
The refurbishment, which started at the beginning of April, took six weeks to complete, during which time the centre remained open for business as usual.
The 22-lane centre has been re-designed to feature a Hollywood Diner, an American-style bar and five new pool tables.
The centre’s amusement area has also been revamped and has a number of new games including Jurassic Park, Walking Dead and MOTO GP Bikes, and retro games like Crossy Road, Pacman, and Space Invaders.
Gavin Mills, Centre Manager of Hollywood Bowl, Taunton, said: “The entire centre has been completely updated.
"We’re really excited to bring the new Hollywood Bowl experience to Taunton and are already receiving very positive feedback from customers who’ve visited so far.
“Whether it’s family fun, nights with dates or mates, kids or adults birthday parties, work functions or simply an excuse to celebrate the weekend – you name it, our team has got it covered!”
