HEAVY, thundery showers with some sunny spells are forecast for Somerset today.
Weather warnings for the region have expired, although Met Office forecasters are still predicting heavy showers and some thunder for this afternoon.
"It will be a cloudy start with outbreaks of rain and lingering coastal fog," said a forecaster.
"Cloud will break through the morning with some sunny spells but further showers, perhaps heavy and thundery through the afternoon, easing later."
Temperatures could reach 22C, he added.

Tonight will see low cloud will spread inland across eastern areas with patchy mist and fog, but Cornwall and parts of Devon will see some clear skies overnight, he said, with temperatures dropping to around 9C.
Saturday looks set to be slightly 'fresher' than previous days, but pleasant in the sunshine, with temperatures reaching around 21C.
