COUNCILLORS are to sit down with police, leisure and education bosses to map out a strategic plan for the Taunton and Wellington area over the next three years.
Taunton Deane Council is hosting a consultation event on September 4 with councillors and major partners to ask them what the priorities should be.
Deane leader Cllr Ross Henley said: "We're doing this to be as inclusive as possible, consulting many more people before preparing our budget for the coming year."
Participants will be asked to consider consultations held with local people, Government directives, local issues and the council's financial situation.
Cllr Steve Brooks, executive councillor for communications, said: "We'll be asking councillors and partners to use this information to agree on what our priorities should be and on what we should deliver for Taunton Deane residents for the next three years.
"This work will form the basis for the council's corporate strategy to provide direction until 2011."
