POLICE have this afternoon named the teenagers who died in a road accident near Washford Cross on Thursday evening.
Jamie Lee Pitman, 19, of Old Cleeve, and Michael Foster, 18, of Watchet, died when a Peugeot 205 car was in a collision involving a Mitsubishi Shogun at 9.20pm on the B3190, between Washford Cross and Five Bells.
Police believe the Peugeot was travelling north towards Watchet when it has collided with a roadside verge before colliding with the Shogun.
The driver of the Shogun escaped with minor injuries.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have been travelling on the road at the time.
