SOMERSET is set to sizzle this weekend when the mercury is expected to hit nearly 30 degrees Celsius.
Last Thursday was the hottest day of the year when temperatures reached a staggering 35.1 degrees Celsius in Wisley, Surrey.
The scorched Earth has been given a respite by the recent spell of rain but another heatwave is on the horizon.
The rain looks set to ease off, leaving it largely dry tomorrow (Tuesday, July 31) and Wednesday.
