AT The St Augustine of Canterbury School, in Taunton, some pupils benefited from taking some GCSEs early.
Head teacher Gail Crees said: "Again, it is good to see so many young people achieving their potential at GCSE.
"We have many individuals who exceeded expectations particularly those on our gifted and talented register.
"This was definitely helped by our policy of early entry in subjects such as art, geography and this year mathematics."
