CHILDREN have been kept off the streets on two Taunton estates during the summer holidays.
Police Community Support Officers have organised weekly trips to Hollywood Bowl for ten pin bowling sessions.
PCSOs Tracy Cornish and Khris Roultson have taken a total of 64 youngsters from Halcon and Priorswood on the sessions.
PCSO Roulston said: "The aim was to get kids that might have caused trouble off the streets.
"It's been very successful - 64 children will have been taken off the street for three to four hours each time."
The sessions have been funded by the Heathfield Local Action Team.
PCSO Roulston added: "The children have really enjoyed themselves and their parents have been happy they have been able to go.
"It has helped build relationships between the young people and ourselves."
