FIRE officers from Wiveliscombe attended an accident at Cotford St Luke, Taunton, this afternoon at just after 3pm.
The officers, together with a rescue tender from Taunton, were mobilised to a road traffic collison following a request from the ambulance to attend.
On arrival at the scene on the main A358 near the Kingfisher Inn crews confirmed this to be one vehicle on its side with one 90-year-old female casualty trapped inside.
After liaising with ambulance personnel the crews stabilised the vehicle and assisted with releasing the casualty who was then left in the care of the ambulance. A second casualty was also left in the hands of paramedics.
