SINGER songwriter Sarah McQuaid is making an appearance at the Wellingotn Arts Centre on Saturday September 1.
The visit comes as part of her UK tour, having appeared at the Sidmouth and Wadebridge festivals in August.
Her velvet-tinged vocals have been described by The Rough Guide to Irish Music as 'warm as a turf fire and as rich as matured cognac.' Not only is she a singer and songwriter but she is also the author of The Irish DADGAD Guitar Book.
Her CD When Two Lovers Meet has recently been re-released and she is currently working on a new album due for release in 2008.
Tickets are available, priced at £6, from Ted Turner Music, South Street, Wellington, or from the Arts Centre, and the concert starts at 8pm. For further details contact 01823-667388 (daytime) or 01823-667774 (evenings).
