AS work on the new in-patient ward at St Margaret's Somerset Hospice takes shape, patients have been enjoying an array of blooming containers planted outside the ward windows.
Plants from St Margaret's show garden at this year's Taunton Flower Show were potted up into containers for the garden designed by Avery Garden Services.
The display won silver and featured the emblem of hospices - the sunflower.
Appeals Manager Michele Evans said: "We'd like to thank Martin and Lin from Avery Garden Services for their green-fingered magic.
"The time and effort that Martin and Lin dedicated to the St Margaret's Somerset Hospice garden was admired and appreciated by all.
"It's fantastic that the beautiful and award-winning display is now being enjoyed by the patients at St Margaret's.
"The garden and patio areas play a vital role as a place of peace, solitude and calm and will be an important aspect of our new build project."
The Taunton Flower Show was the latest in a series of fundraising events to help raise the £2 million needed for St Margaret's New Build project.
At present the funds stand at £1.6 million - money donated by local people, organisations and businesses throughout Somerset. The race is now on to raise the remaining £400,000 by April next year.
