A TEAM of Somerset veterans will be getting up bright and early on Friday as they prepare to pay celebrate for the last time an event that took place 63 years ago.
The Somerset Normandy Veterans are off to the Liberation of Antwerp ceremonies in Belgium.
To mark their last overseas pilgrimage, they will be taking a plaque from Taunton Deane Mayor Ken Hayward to present to the Leader of Antwerp City Council.
The group of four veterans, two wives and a carer, are arriving at Bristol Airport at 5.30am on Friday for the flight to Brussels.
