LICENSED premises in West Somerset are invited to review a new licensing policy.

The Licensing Act 2003 requires West Somerset Council to publish a Statement of Licensing Policy, which sets out general policies.

Licensing manager Ian Timms, said: "Under the Act, local authorities are required to review their licensing policy statements at least every three years.

"West Somerset Council has reviewed its licensing policy and the new draft policy is available for consultation.

"Members of the public and key stakeholders are invited to read the policy and provide the council with their observations or comments. The council will carefully consider all responses received when drafting the final revised policy."

Consultation ends on November 16 and any comments on the draft policy should be received by this date.
