A 'DANGEROUS' explosion has damaged an ATM in Langport before thieves made of with handfuls of cash.
Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after the theft, which happened at the weekend.
A spokesman for the force said: "We are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an attack on an ATM in Somerset in the early hours of Saturday.
"The attack happened between 1.29am and 2.16am in Parrett Close, Langport and we know there were people in the area who may have witnessed the attack.
"This was a dangerous offence as an explosion was caused in order to damage the machine before cash was taken."
