AFTER Somerset was hit by catastrophic floods in 2014, the Prince of Wales became the Royal focus point for relief efforts - and for plans of how to avoid such dire incidents happening again.
The Prince first visited on February 3, 2014, when he arrived at Langport, before catching a boat to Muchelney.
Mark Masters was one of the lucky ones to have a word with the prince.

He said: “I used to work at Yeovilton and I said to Charles this situation needs the help of the Royal Navy. I hope he can help sort this out.”
But it was Lotti the spaniel who stole the show.
Owner Denise Tapscott, from Huish Episcopi, said: “He seemed to like the dog; he asked how she was.
“I’m glad he came to visit because the situation needs the attention so I hope something good comes out of it."
The Prince also visited Stoke St Gregory that week, meeting local schoolchildren as well as discussing the impact of the flooding with county farmers.
He returned in July, six months after the floods, to see how the village had recovered and enjoyed the summer sunshine with a cool glass of something sweet...
