TWO men have appeared in court jointly charged with illegally hunting.
Richard Down, 56, of Kittisford Farm, Bathealton, and Martin John Watts, also 56, of Kennel Lane, West Bagborough, both deny committing the offence.
They are charged with hunting a wild animal with a dog at Trendle Ring, Bicknoller on March 18 this year.
When the two men appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Courts on Thursday, the court was told that the alleged hunting was not exempted under the Hunting Act 2004.
The case was adjourned to the same court on until Tuesday (October 29) for a case management hearing. The accused do not have to appear on that occasion.
