HAND sanitiser, gloves and face masks intended for use at the 2020 Glastonbury Festival will instead be used to fight the coronavirus.
Festival organisers Emily and Michael Eavis today welcomed staff from Avon and Somerset Police to Worthy Farm to collect thousands of litres of hand sanitiser along with the other protective equipment.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "On behalf of A&S Local Resilience Forum, we'd like to extend a huge thank you to Michael and Emily Eavis for providing frontline emergency service workers and NHS staff with thousands of litres of hand sanitiser, gloves and face masks due to be used at Glastonbury 2020."
