A GENEROUS young girl has donated a hundred surgical masks to residents in her hometown - after a school friend sent them from China.
Sianna Bellamy dropped off the protectors at a petrol station and care home after receiving them in the post along with a touching card.
Her pal - who has since returned to his home country - sent the items in the spirit of international relations as coronavirus takes hold.
The thoughtful card is adorned with both the Chinese and British flags and hearts.
Deciding the makes would benefit others more, the sweet seven year-old Sianna then walked around Wellington, Somerset and handed them to locals.
Dad Simon said: "The man in the petrol station was so happy about the masks. I think he was going to give some to his mates.
"People like him are the real 'frontliners' - dealing with people all day. He loved it.
"Sienna's friend had gone back to China so we rang to see how he was getting on.
"Then the masks turned up and we took them out. It's all about goodwill."
