A MAN in his 70s has died after a medical incident while out on a bike ride.
The man, was riding his bike in High Street, Wellington, at around 5.30am this morning (June 17).
Emergency services were alerted when the man collapsed from his bike.
Sadly, he died at the scene.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at 5.35am this morning by the ambulance to assist with on ongoing medical incident in High Street, Wellington.
"A man in his 70s was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
"The death is not believed to be suspicious and will be referred to the coroner."
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "South Western Ambulance Service responded to a call at around 5.25am about an incident on High Street, Wellington. The caller reported that a person had collapsed while on a bicycle.”
