THERE were FIVE new confirmed Covid-19 cases in Somerset recorded in the latest 24-hour period.
All but one of the four districts saw new cases in the period to 5pm yesterday (Wednesday).
There was one positive test in Mendip, one in Sedgemoor and three in South Somerset.
There were no new cases identified in Somerset West and Taunton.
The total number of confirmed cases in Somerset has risen to 1,375.
The district totals are Mendip 154; Sedgemoor 408; Somerset West and Taunton 463; South Somerset 350.
No coronavirus related deaths were reported in the county council area over the same 24 hours.
