SOMERSET experienced a further rise in positive Covid-19 tests in the latest figures.
A total of three new confirmed cases of the virus were recorded in the county council area in the 24 hours to yesterday (Sunday).
There were two cases in South Somerset and one in Mendip.
It takes to 1,389 the total number of confirmed cases in the county.
The number of cases has increased in recent weeks, probably due to more tests taking place.
The district totals are Mendip 158; Sedgemoor 413; Somerset West and Taunton 463; and South Somerset 355.
