THERE has been another new confirmed Covid-19 case in Somerset in the latest figures.
There was a positive test in the Mendip district in the 24 hours to 5pm yesterday (Monday).
No new cases were reported in the other three districts in the area covered by the county council.
It takes to 1,390 the total number of confirmed cases in the county.
The number of cases has increased in recent weeks, probably due to more tests taking place.
At the same time, there tend to be less cases reported at the weekend and over Bank Holidays.
The district totals now stand at Mendip 159; Sedgemoor 413; Somerset West and Taunton 463; and South Somerset 355.
